Former UH Quarterback Colt Brennan Diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury Just when things appeared to be looking up, former UH QB and fan favorite Colt Brennan was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). After some difficult times, which included being cut by the Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders and pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, he signed with new Arena Football League team Los Angeles KISS in October 2013. His physical examination revealed the injury and he was not cleared to play. Brennan believes the TBI occurred when he was a passenger in a two-car crash in November 2010. He wonders why he got medical clearance and was allowed to play after the accident with the Hartford Colonials (United Football League) in 2011 and with Saskatchewan (Canadian Football League) in 2012. As this could possibly end his football career, Brennan plans to seek a second opinion from a neurologist in Hawaii.
